Learn code.Make it useful.

Choose a tutorial. Learn one step at a time.

Free programming tutorials, with room to practise.

Bhylu is an independent learning website for people who want to understand code and use it in small projects. Read a lesson, study a worked example, and try a change yourself. You can start from the basics and move into more advanced topics without creating an account.

For web development, follow HTML, CSS and JavaScript. For programs and data, explore Python and SQL. Supported examples open in the online playgrounds; lessons that need a local setup explain the requirements.

Operated by Pritesh Bhoi in India. The tutorial library distinguishes full courses from topic overviews.

Questions before you start

What can I learn on Bhylu?

Bhylu offers free programming tutorials and browser-based practice. Full courses cover HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, SQL, Java, PHP, C, C++, C#, Bootstrap 5, React, MySQL, jQuery, XML, Django, NumPy, Pandas, Node.js, DSA, TypeScript, Angular, Git, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, AI, R, Go, Kotlin, Swift, Sass, Vue, Generative AI, SciPy, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Bash and Rust, from the basics to more advanced topics. Swift includes portable language programs and clearly labelled Apple-only app lessons requiring Xcode. Legacy AngularJS and ASP have separate maintenance courses. Other subjects in the library have short overviews that introduce their purpose and help you decide what to explore next.

Which tutorial should I start with as a beginner?

If you want to make websites, start with HTML to structure a page. Add CSS for layout and styling, then JavaScript for interactions. If you prefer writing programs or working with data, start with Python. Choose SQL when you want to read and change records in a relational database.

Is Bhylu free, and do I need an account?

You can read the tutorials and use the supported playgrounds for free, without creating an account. There is no paid subscription required to follow a course. Advertisements may support reading pages. Your browser can remember a light or dark theme, but Bhylu does not maintain a learner progress profile.

Can I run tutorial examples online?

Supported examples include a Try in playground link. It opens editable code in the appropriate browser tool; you choose Run or Preview to execute it. HTML and CSS show a page preview, while supported JavaScript, Python and SQL examples use their own runners. Some runtimes download the first time you run them.

Do I need to install software to learn?

You can read lessons in a browser and run supported examples without installing a development environment. Some lessons need local files, extra packages, a database server, network access or browser permissions that the online tools do not provide. Java needs a local JDK 21 or newer, PHP needs a local PHP interpreter, and C/C++ need their corresponding local compilers. C# needs a .NET SDK. React examples need Node and a separate local project. jQuery needs its full local library, and its Ajax labs use a Node loopback fixture. MySQL lessons need a separate MySQL 8.4 lab; the online SQL editor uses SQLite. Django needs its separate Python project; its server examples do not run in the plain Python editor. Each local example explains its setup.

How should I practise after reading a lesson?

Predict what the example will do before running it. Change one input, compare the result with your prediction, and explain the difference in your own words. Then try a practice task or build a small feature using the same idea. Save important work yourself; the editors do not promise permanent storage.

Are all the subjects in the grid full courses?

The grid includes both full courses and short topic overviews. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, SQL, Java, PHP, C, C++, C#, Bootstrap 5, React, MySQL, jQuery, XML, Django, NumPy, Pandas, Node.js, DSA, TypeScript, Angular, Git, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, AI, R, Go, Kotlin, Swift, Sass, Vue, Generative AI, SciPy, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Bash and Rust have multi-lesson courses with their own learning sections and practice pages. Swift’s Apple-only lessons require a suitable Mac/Xcode setup and are labelled with their review limits. AngularJS and ASP are available as legacy-maintenance courses. Other subjects currently provide an introduction. The tutorial library identifies courses and overviews so you can check the available depth before choosing a subject.

Who operates Bhylu, and how can I report a mistake?

Pritesh Bhoi operates Bhylu personally from India. Lessons use independently written explanations and examples, and technical mistakes can still happen. Use the Contact page to email the lesson URL and a brief explanation of the issue. Include a small, safe example when it helps, and leave out passwords or private project data.
