AI Languages and Tools
Select tools for the runtime and data boundary rather than a popularity claim.
How it works
Python has a large numerical ecosystem, while JavaScript can run small models in a browser. SQL helps prepare and inspect data. The language alone does not determine model quality. This course uses Python standard-library examples online, local scikit-learn experiments, and separate downloadable browser labs with pinned JavaScript libraries.
Run the code
Try in playground loads this complete standard-library Python example without executing it. Choose Run when ready. Local review uses Python 3.12.14; the existing browser editor uses Pyodide 0.27.7. These small fictional examples need no account, external data, model-provider key or database service.
Example
tools = {
"Python standard library": "small transparent calculations",
"scikit-learn": "local fitted estimators and pipelines",
"TensorFlow.js": "downloadable browser tensor labs",
}
for name, purpose in tools.items():
print(name + ": " + purpose)
Expected result
Python standard library: small transparent calculations scikit-learn: local fitted estimators and pipelines TensorFlow.js: downloadable browser tensor labs
The Python editor does not suddenly acquire scikit-learn, TensorFlow.js or access to your PC files. Local-only examples say so. Library versions are reviewed baselines, not a claim to be the latest release or a guarantee that every device has GPU support.
