Angular Get Started

Start with a compatible Node runtime and project-local Angular packages. The course pins Angular 22.2.4 with CLI/build tools 22.2.5, verified against the stable npm tags when this course was created.

How it works

Angular 22 requires a supported Node range, including Node 24.15 or newer in the 24 series. The review uses private Node 24.22.1; Node 22.15.1 is too old for this release. Check node --version before installing dependencies. Save the downloaded files using their displayed paths in a new empty folder, run npm install, npm run build and npm start, then open the loopback address printed by the fixture server. No PHP or database service is involved.

Run the code

Use a separate empty project folder with a compatible Node version: ^22.22.3, ^24.15.0 or a supported 26+ runtime. The review uses Node 24.22.1, Angular 22.2.4, CLI/build 22.2.5 and TypeScript 6.0.3. Node 22.15.1 is too old for Angular 22. Save every download at its displayed path; browsers may keep only the basename, so recreate the src folder. Run npm install, npm run build and npm start, then open the loopback address printed by the server. Run npm test for the supplied component tests. These are local teaching projects, not Bhylu publishing files.

The small loopback server serves the compiled app and fixed, read-only tool API fixtures. It is not a database, authentication or lending service. Angular examples do not run in Bhylu’s current HTML or TypeScript playground. No Apache, MySQL or PHP configuration change is needed.

Example

src/app.ts

import { Component } from '@angular/core';

@Component({
  selector: 'bh-get-started',
  standalone: true,
  imports: [],
  template: `<h1>Tool desk setup</h1>
    <p data-result>{{ status }}</p>`,
})
export class App {
  status = 'Angular project ready';
}

Expected result

Angular project ready

The downloaded package uses exact framework, compiler and build versions rather than an unqualified latest range. Angular’s application builder compiles the component and template before the local server serves the result. The server binds only to 127.0.0.1 and provides small fictional API fixtures for later lessons. These local lesson compilations are separate from Bhylu’s publishing folder.
