Bootstrap 5 Progress Bars

How it works

A progress indicator should represent something the application actually knows. Supply a name and current/minimum/maximum values so the graphic has a textual contract. Bootstrap 5.3 places the progressbar role and values on the outer progress region while the inner bar shows the fill. This fixture represents three of five preparation tasks under one explicit sample state; it is not a saved Bhylu learning record and does not update by itself.

Run and inspect

Save the complete document as index.html in a separate lab folder. Place Bootstrap 5.3.8 CSS beside it. Open the file in a normal browser. A separate local static server is optional; no database or PHP execution is required. Keep the Bootstrap licence with redistributed assets.

Try in playground

The preview injects local Bootstrap CSS when you select Run code. It blocks external resources and actual form submission; nothing runs on import. Bootstrap plugin scripts are not loaded there.

Expected result

A 60% fill matches the written three-of-five count and the progressbar’s accessible value.

The visible percentage, style width and aria-valuenow agree. A real changing task should update all representations together after a known state transition. Do not show an estimated percentage for an indeterminate operation unless its uncertainty is explained. Repeated announcements can become noisy, so choose update frequency deliberately.
