HTML Website
A website is a set of documents and assets served from a consistent location. Before uploading, verify the local structure and understand the public root your hosting environment will serve.
How it works
- Use a predictable project structure and test relative paths from every page, not only from the homepage.
- Publish only public assets and documents. In a framework project such as Bhylu, configuration, credentials, and application internals belong outside the public document root.
- Use HTTPS in production, inspect missing resources, and check the real deployed URLs after uploading. A successful upload does not prove that every page or form works.
A practical example
site/
index.html
sessions.html
styles/
site.css
images/
workshop.jpg
For a standalone static project, the HTML documents can reference styles/site.css and images/workshop.jpg. Bhylu’s Laravel deployment instead serves its public directory and uses application routes.
