Math Module
math supports real-valued numerical work with defined domains and useful constants. It is separate from the complex-valued cmath module.
Understand the idea
Use hypot for a Euclidean distance, ceil and floor for directional rounding, and isclose for appropriate approximate comparisons. A numeric function can raise a domain error or overflow, so external input still needs validation. Do not confuse a deterministic mathematical calculation with evidence that an applied model's assumptions are correct.
Where to try it
Open this example with Try in playground. The code loads as editable text and does not run until you select Run. The first run downloads Python. Each run starts fresh; temporary files created by a script are not files on your PC.
A worked example
import math
print(math.hypot(3, 4))
print(math.ceil(2.1), math.floor(2.1))
print(math.isfinite(float("inf")))
Read the result
The outputs are 5.0, then 3 and 2, then False.
