Python Syllabus

The course moves from readable scripts to reusable code, object protocols, files, algorithms, data work, and external services. You can study it in stages.

Understand the idea

First learn values, branches, loops, and functions. Then understand container mutation, copying, errors, and modules. Add classes when state and a coherent interface help. Explore algorithms and data analysis after you can test a small function. Database and HTTP examples need a local environment, while ordinary language examples can run online.

Where to try it

Open this example with Try in playground. The code loads as editable text and does not run until you select Run. The first run downloads Python. Each run starts fresh; temporary files created by a script are not files on your PC.

A worked example

Python

stages = ["Values and control flow", "Functions and containers", "Objects and files", "Algorithms and data", "Local services"]
for number, stage in enumerate(stages, 1):
    print(number, stage)

Read the result

The five stages print in study order.

Try one change

Choose one checkable task for each stage and note what a correct result would demonstrate.
